| Straw Tour Diary (from official site):
After running out of petrol before Stockton we weren't sure if we'd make it to Sheffield but luckily we managed it. Great venue, a sort of bar-nightclub-pub so we hung out there for a bit while the two support bands played.
The crowd started off a bit quiet but after we'd jumped off the stage to play in the audience and run about a bit I think most people thoroughly enjoyed it. Since it was the last night and everything on the tour's gone as planned, we were really on a high.
No huge end of tour party though - no such luck. Had to pack up and go home pretty much straight away 'cause we're busy as bees at the moment. We're just about to finish the album so it's straight back into the studio before going back out on the road with Toploader. It's all go - no rest for the evil!
Looking back at the tour, its been like our Olympics 'cause basically we're in training for the album. We're just getting started so we're not 100% match fit but it's been really good to realise that we can give people a great evening. That's the whole point of it after all.
We've spent most of the time laughing but that's what it's like being in the band. It's all been painfully enjoyable - can it be legal?
