| Straw Tour Diary (from official site):
Allowed to sleep in till midday, which is a bit of a treat 'cause we're usually up early to do interviews and stuff.
Dashed up the M1 from Nottingham but arrived really early so we went for a poke around Leeds, which looked pretty nice. Great shops.
Loaded in about 4 o' clock. The support were a really good band called Cube from Leeds. The singer is the brother of the guy from Spacehog - remember them? The part of the venue we were playing in was actually under a railway arch. Bit scary for acoustics but the sound guy assured us it would be alright once the place was full of people.
Gig was really, really good and the audience loved us. It's a really good mix of people who've been turning out so far - some nice ladies and a lot of young lads who like to jump about and have a good time which is cool. As far as individual songs go, I'd say "Be Careful" was really good and "In And Out" was absolutely fantastic.
Duck did his Axel F rendition again. Must try and stop him doing that. If Mattie stops talking for just a second, Duck feels like he has to play something to fill the gap!
Unfortunately, think I broke my finger! Smashed my hand really hard on my snare drum about two songs from the end of the gig and it's very, very painful. I've strapped it up so I'm hoping it'll be fine. The show must go on as they say!
After talked to a few people, did a few interviews, had a few drinks before driving from Leeds to London. Left about one, got home about four. Don't try it at home kids.
