| Straw Tour Diary (from official site):
Played squash in the morning with Dan so we were both absolutely exhausted on the way up to Glasgow. Managed to sleep on the floor: I'm a Duck so I made a little nest for myself with a sleeping bag and a pillow.
King Tuts is a really good venue - not huge, but it's one of the gigs that's always good. The Glaswegians are always up for a laugh so they really get into it. It's not a place where people stand against the wall with their arms folded. So all really enjoyed the gig.
Think I did the Axel F bit in Glasgow but I'm working on another move in case it gets boring. I play it on the piano so it sounds a bit odd - probably less like Axel F and more like Elton John, but without the hair transplants. Met some fans after the gig, a couple of whom nicked our towels!
Sadly there was some sort of Glaswegian drunken riot in the hotel when we got back - men running around outside our room, shouting till about five in the morning and setting fire alarms off. Not so good when you're getting up at eight the next day. The early morning game of squash suddenly didn't seem such a bright idea...
